North County Transit District (NCTD) is seeking the purchase of rail carts to support Right of Way (ROW) and track maintenance operations. SPECIFIED SERVICES North County Transit District (NCTD) intends to purchase two (2) rail carts that can meet the specs as set forth: A) Weight: 1,200 lbs. – 1400 lbs B) Speed: Up to 10mph while transporting rail C) Capacity: Have a minimum capacity of 10,000lbs per cart D) Features: Rail gauge to be set at 56.5 inches 10ft tow bars for empty train transportation and equipment towing D ring down devices that are rated for cart capacity Stake pockets to be fitted to outside of cart body (4 per side) 24” tall side panels (8 total) 16” diameter wheels Center lifting eye Manual park brake E) Warranty: Must come with at least 12-month warranty. Warranty will start upon delivery of materials. DELIVERABLES A) Two (2) fully assembled carts to meet minimum capacity and specifications above. B) Two (2) complete sets of operating manuals.
