The County of Riverside Purchasing on behalf of Riverside University Health System – Behavioral Health (RUHS-BH) is soliciting quotations for a qualified research team to identify the mental health needs of the Riverside County AA/Black community by collecting qualitative data from relevant stakeholders in the county. Community engagement and data collection will be completed by a local agency that is representative and reflective of the AA/Black community. The collection of this information will be obtained by a professional researcher, who will use several methods of collecting data. The methods can include community forums, focus groups, surveys, and individual interviews. It will also include the review of the RUHS-BH Who We Serve report. In addition, the research team will ensure that there is countywide information collected, including all three regions of the county: Desert, Mid-County, and Western regions. The data collection will focus on the following populations of stakeholders that shall include, mental health practitioners, professionals, members of the AA/Black communities from different socioeconomic backgrounds, mental health promoting organizations, local AA/Black societies and organizations, religious affiliates, individuals who represent mental health consumers, foster youth, justice system consumers, veterans and others that represent the AA/Black community. Once the information is collected, analyzed and recommendations developed, a report will be provided to RUHS-BH PEI for consideration for implementation
