• Routine mowing, edging, and trimming of turf areas. Pruning of trees, shrubs, and groundcover to promote health, visibility, and safety. • Removal of weeds, litter, debris, and green waste from landscaped areas. • Mulching of planter beds as needed to suppress weeds and retain moisture. • Fertilization of turf and plant materials according to seasonal requirements. • Pest and disease monitoring and treatment. Irrigation System Maintenance Tasks • Inspection and routine testing of irrigation systems to ensure proper operation. • Adjustment and repair of irrigation components including: o Valves, controllers, rotors, sprays, drip emitters, and backflow preventers. • Seasonal irrigation scheduling and programming to optimize water usage. • Emergency repairs to damaged irrigation lines or malfunctioning systems. Additional Requirements • Mobilization to various City-maintained sites as directed by Public Works staff. • Use of traffic control and safety measures in compliance with MUTCD standards. • Coordination with City staff for scheduling, access, and service verification. • Reporting of completed tasks, inspection results, and maintenance recommendations.
