Specifications include, but are not limited to: Law Enforcement Canine Training Services. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) wishes to enter into an Agreement and continue services with a Law Enforcement Canine Training provider for a period of up to five (5) years. The current agreement expires June 30, 2022. SCSO currently maintains a total of nine (9) canine teams (canine and handler). Eight (8) canine teams are assigned to SCSO’s Patrol master protection canine program, and one (1) canine team is assigned to the adult detention facility assisting correctional deputies in locating narcotics during unit and room searches. Canine teams may be added or eliminated as needed. SCSO has contracted with suppliers for law enforcement canine training for over 35 years, to include a variety of services to establish, train, and support the Sheriff’s canine program.
