The work includes but is not limited to selective demolition, site improvements for accessibility and safety, general interior renovation, expansion of the Children’s Area into the existing exterior loggia, replacement of all glazing, new trash enclosure, removal of existing elevator and installation of new elevator, fire protection, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, replacement of sanitary sewer line to Macdonald Avenue including new connections to the new trash enclosure and connections to existing laterals, new generator, tank and enclosure, roof replacement and photovoltaic cells, new library stacks, furniture and miscellaneous equipment, alarm security systems, protection of existing telecom systems which must remain in continuous operation throughout construction, including temporary secure enclosure, cooling and fire protection, hazardous materials abatement, LEED silver certification. All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings, and with the terms and conditions of the Project Manual.
