Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Public Health issuing this Request for Proposals (this RFP) in search of firms / proposers that have the necessary qualifications to complete the work set forth in this RFP. Whether a firm has such qualifications will be determined through the evaluation process described in Section VI of this RFP. When applicable and practical, Proposers are encouraged to engage contracting teams that reflect the diversity of the City and include participation of businesses and residents from the City’s most disadvantaged communities including, but not limited to the Bayview/Hunters Point, Chinatown, Mission, South of Market, Tenderloin, Visitacion Valley and Western Addition neighborhoods. A. Programs to be Administrated by the Contractor 1. Trans Pilot Project: A peer-run initiative that offers groups, social events, and harm reduction services specifically tailored to support Trans women of color. 2. Innovations Black/African American Culturally Responsive and Innovative Practices: A program focused on mental health that provides peer services to the Black/African American community, integrating culturally responsive and innovative approaches for better support. 3. Gender Health Services: An initiative that involves peers assisting individuals seeking genderaffirming services, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support. 4. SF First Vocational Project: A project that offers entry-level vocational services, in which peers help individuals gain foundational skills and support as they enter the workforce. 5. Transitional Age Youth Project: A program that involves peers assisting Transitional Age Youth (TAY) clients, addressing their specific needs and providing tailored support during this transitional phase of their lives. 6. KUUMBA Healing Project: An African-Centered strength and culturally-based community clinical collaborative model of Behavioral Health. Kuumba seeks to integrate the Ancestral Wisdom of the African Diaspora with Community Endorsed and Practice-Based clinical expertise, as well as culturally resonant practices that inform and empower SF youth and families of African descent towards health. KHP works in partnership; using the best of both worlds to reweave the social fabric of community and advocate for the well-being of our youth and families.
