The Rehabilitative Program is a systematic approach that focuses on offender accountability and rehabilitation, which is directly tied to the San Diego County Probation Departments mission.The County of San Diego is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide rehabilitative programs and services for youthful offenders. The Rehabilitative Program is a systematic approach that focuses on offender accountability and rehabilitation, which is directly tied to the San Diego County Probation Departments mission. The Rehabilitative Program will provide age appropriate comprehensive services to identified youth offenders, both in custody and in the community, through rehabilitative programming, in and/or outreach services, educational services, and employment transitional services. These services will include, but are not limited to, psychosocial and/or cognitive behavioral educational services, life skills, literacy programs, vocational and educational preparation, transition assistance, mental health services, psychosocial educational services, and substance abuse education. The Rehabilitative Program will be implemented in two (2) phases. Phase I will consist of assessments, contacts, counseling, crisis management, rehabilitation programming and limited employment training. Phase II will consist of all items in Phase I and additional employment training, work readiness, and literacy and reading programming.
