San Mateo County Transit District (“District” or Agency”), is seeking proposals from qualified firms (Proposers or Contractors) to provide the Service to eligible seniors and persons with disabilities eligible for paratransit in San Mateo County (County). The service is referred to as Redi-Wheels Paratransit Service (Service). The Services to be provided to the Agency consist of the following: There are three basic types of service provided by Redi-Wheels, each with its own definition. All share the same need for excellent, timely service. Generally, the Contractor will be responsible for all job functions related to taking a trip request and dispatching the trip to its own drivers or to a Supplemental Service Provider. i. Standard ADA Trips: The Contractor will take advance customer reservations using the PASS Trapeze scheduling software and schedule trips. ii. Agency Trips: Pre-scheduled trips to social service agencies in San Mateo County. iii. Same-day Paratransit Service: This is a premium service with premium fares. Trips will be scheduled on a space-available basis on non-SSP Redi-Wheels service.
