Riverside County Purchasing Department on behalf of the Department of Waste Resources (RCDWR) is soliciting quotations for Recycling/Disposal of Waste Tires. Please see Exhibit “A” Specifications for further details. The COUNTY will collect and store tires on a temporary basis and deliver to the awarded bidder’s facility. The COUNTY does not wish to store more than 20 tons of passenger tires at any time. These tires are stored at Lamb Canyon Landfill and Badlands Landfill in 40-yard roll-off containers. The COUNTY collects passenger tires with or without rims from residential landfill customers. The COUNTY may haul tires directly from community tire events and illegal dumping retrieval to the CONTRACTOR’S location. Based on historical records, the COUNTY estimates the annual tonnage for passenger tires to be roughly 500 tons per year with approximately 79% passenger and light truck; 20% semi; 1% OTR (Off The Road (OTR) tires which are from construction equipment such as wheel loaders, backhoes, graders, etc.).
