1.0 GENERAL PROVISIONS; 1.0.1 The Bid encompasses the transportation of pupils, personnel and others as authorized by the District, by means of vehicles, at such times and to such places as directed by the District. 1.0.2 Services provided by the Contractor shall include provision of all transportation equipment, employee parking and bus storage facilities, support and office equipment, bus radios, driving and office personnel, vehicle replacement parts, lubricants, fuel storage, insurances, staff vehicles and other such materials as required by law and per the specifications. All services should be performed to the satisfaction of the District. 1.0.3 Service Home-To-School programs within the boundaries of Val Verde Unified School District: Currently this service is provided to approximately five hundred (500) students, and approximately a total of forty-seven (47) routes. Dates are subject to change for the 2025 – 2026 School Year. Exhibit 1, Exhibit 2 and Exhibit 3 1.0.4 Transportation Services includes Field Trip and Athletic Event(s) transportation for all activity trips as requested by the District. Dates and times are subject to change for the 2025 – 2026 School Year. Exhibit 4. 1.0.5 Charges for Field Trips and Athletic Event(s) Transportation shall be billed at a Base Rate of a minimum of two (2) hours multiplied by the hourly rate. Except for billing for regularly scheduled routes, Contractor shall only bill the District for services actually rendered to District and shall not bill the District for time Contractor’s forces are servicing other customers.
