The selected Contractor will provide professional public relations, communications, and media outreach services in collaboration with CAC’s Communications, Public Affairs, and Executive teams. A. Campaign Development • Develop a comprehensive public relations strategy integrating CAC’s 50th Anniversary, America 250 tie-ins, and key program storytelling. • Create a media calendar aligning with agency milestones and grantee events. • Prepare key messages, press kits, and media talking points. B. Media Relations and Storytelling • Secure earned media coverage across print, digital, radio, and broadcast. • Pitch and coordinate interviews, feature stories, and artist profiles. • Draft and distribute press releases, op-eds, and advisories. • Maintain an inclusive statewide media contact list. • Multimedia storyteller proficient in text, images, audio, video, and interactive elements (animation, infographics, data visualization), with expertise in integrating social media engagement strategies. C. Promotion of Giving and Public Engagement • Develop and execute a campaign encouraging donations through the DMV for: § Keep Arts in Schools Tax Check Off § Arts Plate: Graphic License Plate Program • Coordinate cross-promotion with state agencies, grantees, and arts partners. • Provide social media-ready graphics and short-form copy. D. Program Publicity • Develop messaging to amplify success stories from: o Annual Grants o Cultural Districts o Creative Economy Initiatives o Arts in Corrections o Arts in Health • Highlight how these programs strengthen California’s creative economy and arts accessibility. E. Event and Award Ceremony Support • Support publicity for the 50th Anniversary Awards Ceremony, including: o Announcements of honorees and highlights o Media credentialing o On-site press management and post-event coverage o Provide day of event photography and videography o Prepare an in-memoriam video for presentation at the awards ceremony
