The City of Jurupa Valley is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to evaluate approximately 96,000 square feet of public landscaping for the removal of water intensive turf and the installation of California Friendly and native plant landscapes. This project is aimed at conserving water, reducing irrigation costs, and transforming highly visible public right-of-way areas into sustainable, low-maintenance landscapes. Various Turf Replacement areas are shown in Attachment F of this RFP. In alignment with statewide water conservation efforts and local sustainability goals, all work will be designed to comply with the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s BeWaterWise Turf Replacement Program, making the projects eligible for rebate incentives that help offset construction costs while advancing the City’s broader conservation objectives. This project requires that a landscape architect, licensed in California, take the lead role in conducting the analysis and developing the drought tolerant landscaping plans and specifications.
