The County of Kern is seeking a qualified company to provide transportation and disposal services for the proper management of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) from Kern County’s permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facilities (PCF), located in Bakersfield, Mojave, and Ridgecrest, California. The County requires contractor to provide: 1) Transportation, and disposal of hazardous waste collected at Permanent Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facilities in Bakersfield, Mojave, and Ridgecrest, California. 2) Reuse or recycle as much hazardous material as possible. The County is committed to choosing a recycling option above disposal, incineration, or landfilling through the operation of PCFs, TCEs, Material Reuse Programs, and Extended Producer Responsibility programs. 3) Safe, legal, and proper transportation, disposal, and recycling of hazardous materials. 4) Timely and effective communication between contractor and County personnel related to all aspects of hazardous waste facility operations; and 5) Compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to the collection, transportation, handling, disposal, and recycling of hazardous materials
