• Structural testing, special material testing and inspectors shall be DSA certified and fully compliant with all necessary requirements and procedures inclusive of but not limited to DSA IR Bulletin 17 Series requirements. o IR 17-2 Nondestructive testing (NDT) of Structural Welds o IR 17-3 Structural Welding Inspection o IR 17-8 Sampling and Testing of High Strength Bolts, Nuts and Washers o IR 17-8.16 Sampling and Testing of High Strength Bolts, Nuts and Washers o IR 17-9 High Strength Structural Bolting Inspection o IR 17-10 Sampling, testing and tagging of Reinforcement Bars o IR 17-11 identification, Sampling and Testing of Threaded Steel Anchor Bolts and Anchors o IR 17-12 Specific Inspection reporting Requirements o IR 17-13 Batch Plant Inspection • Special Inspection Services may include: o Review of concrete Mix Design Submittals o Review of structural steel welding procedure submittals o Compacted fill inspection and testing o Reinforcing steel inspection and testing o Brick and block inspection and testing o Glued laminated structural lumber inspection and testing. o Additional special inspection services and testing as necessary for project DSA approval • Geotechnical testing services including: o Observation and compaction testing of subgrades to receive AC pavement and/or concrete pavement o On-site compaction testing for AC pavement areas o Performance of required laboratory tests on retained samples from on-site and/or imported materials for fill placement as required on the soils report. o Upon completion of a project, preparation of DSA 291 and DSA 293 forms o Additional Geotechnical testing services as necessary for project DSA approval • Consultant shall provide the Services set forth herein, as well as any incidental services necessary for the full and adequate completion of Project Services in strict accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws rules and regulations, including but not limited to, the State Building Code, California Code of Regulations, Title 24 and Instructions on Divis of the State Architect (“DSA”), Structural Tests and Inspections form SSS 103-1 (as provided for the project), and instructions included herein. Special inspectors and testing staff shall be prepared to attend Project progress meetings and other specially called meetings as determined by the district. Consultant shall provide daily and/or individual occurrence reports of Special Inspections and Testing results on previously approved forms and provide sufficient copies to the District and District’s Representatives for distribution to the Construction Contractor, and Architect.
