The Los Banos Civic Center is a comprehensive renovation of the former Police Department Annex, transforming the existing facility into a modern, centralized location for development-related public services. Designed as a one-stop shop, the Development Services Center will house multiple departments critical to the City's growth and development, including Planning, Building, Engineering, Fire Prevention, Housing, and Economic Development. The new facility will improve customer service by streamlining the permitting and development review process, enhancing interdepartmental collaboration, and providing a more efficient and accessible experience for residents, businesses, and developers. As part of the overall project, the former police station building located at 945 Fifth Street will be demolished, removing aging infrastructure and making way for future civic improvements. In conjunction with the annex renovation, internal improvements will also be made at City Hall, including updates to cubicles, offices, electrical systems, and carpeting. These upgrades will modernize workspaces and improve operational efficiency across departments.
