Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to provide interested parties with sufficient information regarding the professional services the County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works is seeking for its Monte Road at Squire Creek and Huasna Townsite Road at Huasna River Bridge Replacement Projects. The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works (County) is proposing to replace the existing bridge on Monte Road at Squire Creek. The existing bridge was built in 1958 as a 31-foot-long single span bridge with a deck width of 18’. The bridge is eligible for replacement and funding by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Highway Bridge Program (HBP). The existing bridge is weight restricted and unable to carry legal loads. Weight restricted bridges are problematic for, among other things, potentially not being able to convey fire and emergency vehicles.
