Specifications include, but are not limited to: North County Transit District (NCTD) is requesting information regarding private electronic marketplace (e-marketplace) software or services. For the purposes of this RFI, e-marketplace is defined as a technology solution where agency buyers can connect to approved vendor catalogs to place orders for routine maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) needs. The e-marketplace would be considered private as only agency personnel would be qualified as “shoppers” within the hosted catalogs. NCTD envisions the system to have robust functionality, including cost comparisons across hosted catalogs, and secure “checkout” and payment features. Only software as a service (SaaS) solution providers should respond. Traditional ERP punchout functionality is not considered an e-marketplace solution.
