Specifications include, but are not limited to: Nevada and Placer County are combining resources and seek to continue the Mental Health Services Act using innovative strategies, in order to reduce stigma, increase accessibility, and improve effectiveness. A multi-year community-led planning process has identified a variety of service elements which will lead to these desired outcomes for Nevada and Placer County residents. This plan will outline how the Counties’ Behavioral Health Departments will utilize their MHSA funding allocation based over the next three fiscal years. Programs will be prioritized based on the recent community mental health needs assessment, data, and staff input. Nevada County and Placer County have each dedicated a set-aside of PEI funds specifically for the Tahoe/Truckee region, given the region’s unique needs and provider landscape.
