Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) currently has a contracting opportunity for Potable Water and Wastewater Quality Testing services with Lassen Modoc Unit (LMU). 2. Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to provide potable water and wastewater quality testing. The services shall be provided during normal working hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except State holidays. A. Certification 1) Contractor is required to possess a current Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELAP) certification. Licenses must be current and remain active throughout the contract term. 2) Sample collection and field tests shall be performed by a water treatment operator certified by California Department of Public Health (CDPH), pursuant to Section 106875 of the Health and Safety Code or by personnel trained to collect samples and/or perform these tests by CDPH, a certified laboratory or a certified operator. Emergency testing may be required immediately, based on any unforeseen plant operations. Water testing methods are subject to change based on regulation requirements. B. Transportation 1) The testing lab must be within a maximum of three (3) hour drive time radius of the CAL FIRE locations. Contractor must be available to pick-up the re-sampling that the Water & Sewage Treatment Plant Operator (WASPO) has collected and replenishing of supplies immediately upon request as needed. 2) The Contractor shall pick up and transport all samples from CAL FIRE Conservation Camp to the Contractor’s ELAP testing laboratory within six (6) to eight (8) hours, or twenty-four (24) hours per regulations for testing of the specified samples. The holding time of all samples must not exceed State of California, Department of Health Services (DHS) limits as specified in the latest edition of Standard Methods, per Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program.
