Specifications include, but are not limited to: Metropolitan Water District (MWD) of Southern California operates 4 pumping plants (Hinds, Eagle Mountain, Iron Mountain, Gene) supplying water from the Colorado River to Southern California residents. At these pump plants are residential villages. Within these villages are swimming pools that are considered public and regulated by the jurisdiction of the residing County Health Departments (San Bernadino and Riverside Counties). This Request for Bid is for daily, seasonal, and annual pool water treatment service and pool equipment maintenance/repair. All swimming pool service shall follow the guidelines of the San Bernardino County Public Health Environmental Health Services: Pool Code Requirements and San Bernardino County Ordinances. Approximate Pool gallons for GENE CAMP pool is 79K gallons. The swimming pools shall follow the guidelines of the San Bernardino County Public Health Environmental Health Services: Operations Guidelines. Swimming Pool Self Inspection consist of 1) Water Quality 2) Safety Signs and Life Saving Equipment 3) Fencing and Decking 4) Recirculation System 5) General Requirements 6) Spas excluded from Services. The pool service vendor shall perform daily, weekly, and annual water treatment and equipment maintenance/repair at onsite public swimming pools. This includes daily, weekly, and monthly pool deck maintenance and cleaning of pool decking and furniture. The pool is serviced and maintained daily for open operations between April 1, and October 31 or each calendar year. The pool is also serviced and maintained weekly during the closed season between November 1 through March 31 of each calendar year. The pool service vendor shall maintain a written daily record of all test results, equipment readings, calibrations, and corrective action taken. The pool service vendor shall maintain a written record of routine maintenance and repairs. The pool service vendor shall maintain all service and maintenance records for a minimum of two years. The pool service vendor shall submit on the last day of each month, monthly service reports and daily maintenance logs via email to the MWD Contract Administrator. The swimming pool shall be maintained in a sanitary, healthful, and safe manner to ensure the safety of users. Swimming pool water shall be maintained with clean pool water and free of dirt, oils, algae, or organic and inorganic material that would pollute the water.
