Communication Systems ▪ Vehicles will be prepared for installation of a fixed in-car radio communications system (provided by the City of Pasadena) with interoperability for local, state, and federal communications; the Pasadena Police uses the Motorola Apex 8500 radio system. ▪ Rebroadcast capability on the radio/vehicle PA system. ▪ Integration with existing dispatch systems to ensure seamless connectivity. ▪ Must comply with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines for public safety communication. ▪ Overhead speaker for in-car radio (installed in the headliner above the driver). 3. Video Surveillance System ▪ Installation of a front-facing and rear-facing in-vehicle camera system to capture interactions; the City will provide wire harnesses and cameras for the WatchGuard system as needed. ▪ Systems must include features for secure data storage and evidence management. ▪ Equipment should comply with California Government Code Section 832.15 regarding body-worn cameras.
