Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District is seeking a qualified Engineering Firm (Consultant) for the design of the Pleasant Oak Main Pressure Reducing Station #2 (POM PRS2) Replacement Project. The POM provides transmission capacity for the Pleasant Valley, Diamond Springs/El Dorado, Shingle Springs and Cameron Park areas. POM PRS2 consists of four 16-inch pressure reducing valves and two 6-inch pressure reducing valves. The valves are at the end of their expected useful life and are in need of replacement. The District has purchased replacement valves as specified in Exhibit D. Additionally, the District has purchased valves for the reservoir bypass. The proposed project includes installation of a reservoir bypass (pressure reducing valves and piping), and replacement of the existing pressure reducing valves in the same configuration within the existing vault. The project should also include installing control instrumentation, which will require a new power drop from a nearby power pole. The flow rate through the station varies between winter and summer demands.
