Manhattan Beach Unified School District (“District”) is requesting bids for the installation of new playground equipment and associated additional construction at Manhattan Beach Preschool. General notes: • Demolition – Demolish and dispose of existing artificial turf and gravel located within the footprint identified for the surface specified for the new playground structure. Approximately 3,515 sq ft. • Installation – Installation of Miracle Recreation Equipment – Refer to Attachment 1 MBUSD Preschool. Equipment must be installed per manufacturer’s specifications • Surfacing – Provide and install pour-in-place rubber surfacing as specified. 50/50 black and standard color with aromatic binder; color to be selected by District. Excludes designs and graphics. Approximately 3,515sqft. with an average of critical fall height (CFH) of 8’ and in compliance with all regulations in place for California public schools. • Concrete – Construction of Concrete Curb. Approximately 70’ linear feet. Includes ledge curb along perimeter. Approximately 250’ linear feet total. • Site Preparation – Install drain box on south end to tie into existing storm drain. • All construction shall be in compliance with the Architect’s direction
