The University of California, Riverside intends to acquire the services of a General Contractor for the removal and replacement of new air handling units (AHU’s) including ancillary mechanical equipment located at the Physics Building on the UCR Campus. A variety of trades will be required to perform the following scope of work but not limited to: demolition and replacement of AHU’s, motor control centers (MCC’s) used to power the AHU’s, plumbing lines providing chilled water to mechanical system, chilled water pumps, processed chilled water heat exchanger, installation of Laboratory Air Control Systems (LACS), abatement/encapsulation of hazardous material, installation of building mechanical controls, and installation of fire alarm duct detectors within the new AHU’s. The scope of work is to be performed within an occupied building with temporary A/C units installed as part of the project to minimize disruptions to University and Research activities.
