A. The Contractor shall provide onsite general pest and rodent control services to exterminate and/or control all insects, rodents, arachnids, scorpions, mites, fleas, ticks, cockroaches, termites, and all other similar invertebrate or vertebrate pests at DSH in accordance with the Structural Pest Control Act, issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs Structural Pest Control Board. B. Contractor shall maintain a current Qualified Applicator Certificate (QAC) or Qualified Applicator License (QAL), and Structural Pest Control License, with Branch II and III License. i. Branch 2 – General Pests – The practice relating to the control of household pests excluding fumigation with poisonous or lethal gases. ii. Branch 3 – The practice relating to the control of wood destroying pests or organisms by the use of insecticides or structural repairs and corrections, excluding fumigation with poisonous or lethal gases. C. Contractor shall only apply pesticides registered and approved for use by the California Department of Pesticide Regulation (CDPR) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). D. Contractor shall follow the guidelines and procedures as set forth by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention when removing fecal matter and carcasses of pests/vector. E. The applications of chemicals and/or abatement considered to be toxic to humans are prohibited for use in areas where food products are not properly stored or adequately covered. i. Rodenticide poison/bait shall not be used on DSH grounds.
