Specifications include, but are not limited to: A Parent Partner program that is designed to provide children and families intensive home-based supportive and educational services in a proactive approach to lessening the need for crisis-based interventions, hospitalizations and out-of-home placements and 2) a Respite program that is designed to provide short-term/temporary breaks for parents or caregivers of a child with serious emotional disorders (SED). Both the Parent Partner and Respite programs are intended to be components of a larger system of care that will work collaboratively within a community of service provision, providing a family a purpose-driven system of support to them and their children. The goal of the Parent Partner program is to provide support and stabilization to the family and enhance treatment plan goals with practical applications in the home. The goal of the Respite program is to help provide a short period of rest or relief for caregivers therefore creating a renewed ability for the caregivers to address the challenging caregiving task and help bring additional resiliency and stability to the home.
