Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Redding wishes to retain the services of a qualified firm to provide professional engineering services for airport development projects for Redding Municipal Airport and Benton Airpark. The engineering services may include preliminary phase work defining the scope of a project and establishing preliminary requirements; design phase work including activities to undertake and accomplish a full and complete project; bidding and negotiation activities and the construction phase which includes all basic services rendered after the award of a construction contract. The development of some projects may involve activities or studies outside the scope of the basic design services routinely performed by consultant and may vary greatly in scope and complexity and may involve a number of different disciplines and fields of expertise. Airport development projects may include, but are not limited to the following: $ Assistance with preparation of applications for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Improvement Project (AIP) grant funding and representing the City in discussions with the FAA regarding projects and grants $ Runway, taxilane, taxiway and apron development, reconstruction, and resurfacing $ Airfield electrical systems upgrade and electrical facilities improvements $ Security fencing $ Airfield signage and marking improvements $ Infrastructure improvements including access roads, vehicle parking lots, landscaping and irrigation $ Aircraft hangar development $ Drainage improvements $ Access control systems $ AGIS Surveys $ Aerial Photography $ Navigational Aids $ Weather Reporting Equipment $ Environmental $ Wildlife $ Airport engineering and consulting services as may be required from time to time by the City
