To secure pest control related services for the application of a contact insecticide, Carbaryl, to the boles and large lateral limbs (> 5" dia.) of 862 individual coast live oak (Quercus agrifolia), trees greater than 13.6 inches in diameter at breast height (dbh) to prevent attacks of the invasive goldspotted oak borer. Individual trees have been pre-identified by Forest Service (FS) personnel and are designated for spraying with metal tags and colored flagging. Designated trees are spread across eleven (12) administrative and developed recreation sites located on the Palomar Ranger District of the Cleveland National Forest in northeastern San Diego and southwestern Riverside Counties, CA.
