Specifications include, but are not limited to: The San Diego Unified Port District seeks proposals from qualified firms to provide Port Security Services. The District is soliciting proposals for a Service Provider to deliver security guard services to include; facility security, access control; vehicle, passenger and luggage screening; closed circuit television system monitoring; visitor and seafarer escort; roving foot and vehicle patrols, and associated security related administrative support. It is anticipated that this solicitation shall result in the execution of an Agreement for a three-year period, commencing not later than July 1, 2022, with options for two, one-year extensions. All security guards and personnel assigned to work at the District's terminals and associated facilities must hold a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and have completed Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA) training prior to being posted for duty, and annually thereafter. The District’s estimate for this project shall be compensated on a negotiated basis as established in the Fee Schedule.
