The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to select the most qualified Consultant to provide professional services for the preparation of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E) for the design and development of a new pocket park on a currently vacant parcel located at Gage Avenue and Zindell Avenue. This parcel has remained unused for many years and presents an opportunity to provide the community with a new, flexible public space. Preliminary concepts include a basketball court, a 40-foot by 40-foot rubberized floor area for a HIIT fitness center, two modular units positioned along the wall, a small playground, picnic benches, trees, and visitor parking with an entrance and exit from Watcher Street. The City is also interested in exploring the option of incorporating a restroom facility, should it prove feasible. As no existing utilities are currently known to be on-site, utility coordination, planning, and potential extension of service connections will be a key element of the consultant’s scope of work.
