Description

SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.

Ozone delivery system (ODS) – QTY: 1

Source selection will be based on Lowest Price and Technically Acceptable Method (LPTA).

Technical evaluation criteria are as follows:

1. 1. 1. 1 hour of distillation to collect enough volume of Ozone for up to 10 hours of MBE growth
    2. Ozone generator
    3. Robust stainless steel cryochamber for condensing ozone with 100cm3 net volume; No need to supply LN2 for ozone collection process
    4. Integrated heater and temperature controller for regulating the condensing zone temperature
    5. Single stage compressor head/compressor for efficiently cooling the cryochamber
    6. Dry pump for pumping the cryochamber
    7. Baratron and controller for ozone pressure monitoring
    8. UHV compatible water-cooled transfer piping and injector with linear motion
    9. Metering valve for ozone flow control (based on the deposition chamber pressure gauge) to the injector tube.
    10. Protective cabinet on wheels
    11. Software control and remote mode operation
    12. On-site installation
    13. Interlock & condition tracking
    14. Dimensions fit to available space at SSRL BL5-4 endstation: <55” x 35” foot print
    15. Lead time less than 3 months
    16. Record of safe performance in multiple institutes

All subcontractors are required to register in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov).
The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order.
Payment Terms will be NET-30 (SLAC is unable to do advance payments and or Prepayments).
