1) Contractor shall provide highway equipment rental for items listed on the Bid Proposal, Attachment 1, or equivalent equipment to Caltrans. 2) Contractor shall move in/out (deliver and pick-up) requested equipment to and from the work site. Move in/out charge shall be flat rate in accordance with Bid Proposal, Attachment 1. A move in/out equal’s one (1) move. Travel mileage to and from the job site shall be included in Contractor’s Flat Rate for Move In-Move Out. 3) Caltrans Contract Manager will pick-up and return the equipment specified in a Service Request without incurring move in/out charges. 4) Contractor shall provide a telephone number to Caltrans Contract Manager. Contractor shall be available at the phone number provided 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week. 5) Contractor shall provide specialized pre-operational forms or check sheets when special attention is necessary for specific equipment. 6) All equipment shall be five (5) model years old or less. 7) Equipment set up shall be completed prior to start time of the shift. Equipment clean-up shall be completed after completion of shift. 8) Any contracted labor and/or equipment will be subject to redirection by Caltrans personnel in the event of an emergency as determined by Caltrans Contract Manager on the scene. 9) Equipment from which the serial number or other means of identification has been removed shall be considered unsuitable and shall not be used for work under this Agreement. 10) Transportation and fees for any refused equipment shall be the sole responsibility of Contractor and shall not be reimbursed by Caltrans.
