The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office (ACSO) and Alameda County Probation Department (ACPD) operate 24-hour custody and substation facilities. Staff members at these facilities must be offered annual Tuberculosis (TB) testing (Tuberculin Skin Test [TST]) and flu vaccinations. Scheduling these staff members to travel for these services can be challenging due to the demands of their positions. Therefore, the County mandates that these services be provided onsite at the facilities, specifically in an adjacent public area, rather than in the secure facilities themselves. Alameda County requires a Contractor to provide TB testing/TB reading and new flu shots (which are rolled out in September of each year for the upcoming season) at three locations: Santa Rita Jail and Eden Township Substation for ACSO and the Juvenile Justice Center for ACPD. The occupational health events for ACSO are scheduled over a two-week period on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in October or November. The occupational health events for the ACPD are over a one (1) week period on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in October or November.
