A. Fumigation (1). The Contractor shall utilize a Branch 1 structural pest control company registered with the California Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA), Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) to perform a structural fumigation for the elimination of any undetected or concealed infestations of drywood termites. a. Fumigation Process: 1. The Contractor shall fully tent the DMV building and apply sulfuryl fluoride gas (e.g., Vicane, Master Fume, or pre-approved equal). 2. The Contractor shall utilize Chloropicrin gas as a warning agent. (2). The Contractor shall only use State of California approved materials and procedures for completing fumigation services. Chemicals and fumigants used must be registered with the State of California’s Department of Pesticide Regulation and comply with all state and federal regulations. (3). Site preparation and cleanup shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. (4). The Contractor shall be responsible for any damages caused to the building and/or plants as a result of the services performed under this Agreement. B. Follow-Up Inspection Service (1). The Contractor shall perform a follow-up inspection service that is coordinated with the DMV Project Manager. (2). The Contractor shall provide the DMV Project Manager with written inspection results within three (3) DMV business days following the completion of the inspection. C. Written Report (1). The Contractor shall provide a written report to the DMV Project Manager in conjunction with the service invoice. Failure to provide the report may result in the delay of invoice payment. The report shall minimally include all of the following: a. Date, time, and location (including address) the Contractor provided services. b. Full description of services performed, identifying all pests and any damages detected. c. Recommendation of services that could prevent future emergency or urgent service calls.
