Civil Engineering services can include, but are not limited to, civil design services related to construction projects and project sites. Projects range from new or retrofitted parks, fire stations, recreational buildings, and other vertical structures. All projects are expected to be located within District boundaries. Services shall comply with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations and may include the following tasks: A. Project Management and Coordination 1) Manage individual task orders including scope, schedule, and budget 2) Attend project meetings with District staff, consultants, and stakeholders 3) Coordinate with architects, landscape architects, planners, and utility providers 4) Prepare regular progress updates B. Civil Site Design for Parks and Facilities 1) Site layout and grading design for parks, community centers, and fire stations 2) Design of parking lots, driveways, and pedestrian access routes 3) ADA-compliant path-of-travel upgrades and accessibility improvements 4) Stormwater drainage and management design (LID, bioswales, detention basins) 5) Utility service design (water, sewer, fire line, dry utilities) C. Fire Facilities Support A. Civil design for new or renovated fire stations, including site grading, utility connections, and drainage B. Design for emergency vehicle access, truck aprons, and apparatus bay approaches C. Water system and fire protection analysis for station sites D. Support for fuel reduction infrastructure or water tank installations
