Acting upon instructions from Merced County Board of Supervisors, the Department of Public Works has developed this Invitation to Bid for On-Call Waterways Vegetation Management Services for the purpose of obtaining competitive bids from qualified and experienced applicants interested in providing Merced County vegetation management services including but not limited to, long-reach masticator, Arundo Herbicide treatment and labor services needed for Waterways Vegetation Management. Therefore, Merced County (County) is soliciting Bids for On-Call Vegetation Management Services from reputable and experienced contractors in order to provide this service for creeks located within Merced County. The apparent low bidder will be required to enter into an AGREEMENT FOR ON-CALL WATERWAYS VEGETATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES (Agreement) for the vegetation removal services. Said Agreement shall include all labor, material, equipment, supervision, hauling, insurance, traffic control, safety items, and all other related expenses. The County anticipates maintenance on approximately 150 miles of creeks within the County; however, the County reserves the right to change, modify or alter the total number of miles. The County will supply the Verification Request Form (VRF) from the Routine Maintenance Agreement from California Department of Fish & Wildlife and Right of Entries.
