The work will generally consist of professional surveying, and miscellaneous civil engineering services on an as-needed basis to support routine Public Works projects, including but not limited to: a. Surveying: - Furnish topographical maps, right-of-way maps, and aerial mapping - Create surfaces, channel or roadway alignments, profiles, cross-section, quantity takeoffs, or other related topographic and construction features with existing and surveyed information, using the latest AutoCAD Civil3D or other City-approved software - Perform Control Surveys and create Corner Records - Install or reinstall survey monuments - Perform construction-staking surveys, including cut sheets with station & offset data and Point descriptions, and slope staking - Furnish qualified license land surveyors to conduct examination and review of Parcel Maps, Tentative Maps, Final Maps, legal descriptions, and other record documents b. Miscellaneous Civil Engineering - Various capital improvement projects (CIPs) such as roadway design, drainage infrastructure repair, erosion control and repair, storm water management, design of miscellaneous facilities and improvements, etc. - Prepare or peer review civil engineering design and drafting, construction contract documents and related calculations - Construction Quality Assurance, including in the field and plan/specification review - Emergency responses - Other related work
