The Port of Long Beach (Port) is seeking consultant(s) to provide on-call professional writing and editing services. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to: • Providing high quality, accurate writing and/or copy-editing support for a variety of formats, including news releases, news and feature articles, video scripts, fact sheets, messaging and talking points, speeches, correspondence and presentations; • Interviewing Port staff and others, as needed, to research and gather information for requested writing assignments; • Collaborating with Port divisions, responding to Port inquiries and feedback on written content in a timely manner, and when necessary, under tight deadlines; • Conducting research and preparing reports as needed for communications‐related projects. Consultant(s) will be required to work remotely and must have access to a personal computer, phone and reliable internet connection. Professional writing and editing services are on an on-call (as needed) basis and there is no minimum work guarantee.
