The San Bernardino County, Department of Public Works – Special Districts (Department), is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified consultants and companies to provide professional On-Call Professional Geotechnical and Geological Services for San Bernardino County (County) and all San Bernardino County Board Governed Special Districts, including all County Service Areas and their Zones, the Big Bear Valley Recreation and Park District and the Bloomington Recreation and Park District, (collectively, “District”). Services typically include soil testing and analysis, soil compaction testing; concrete sampling and testing; asphalt testing, sieve analysis, gradation, geological investigations, hydro-geological investigations, ground penetrating radar testing, seismic analysis, percolation testing, preliminary soils investigations and all reports and findings that may be required with the associated above testing and analysis to include professional certifications. The number of on-call awards will be determined by the quality of the proposals received and evaluated per Section VIII of this Request for Proposals (RFP). It is the intent that the Board of Supervisors will enter into on-call contracts. It is important to emphasize that because the resulting contracts are for on-call services, the resulting contracts will not guarantee a minimum amount of work, or any work at all.
