1. Architectural and Engineering Professional Services • Prepare plans, specifications, and estimates for Capital Improvement Projects (CIPs) • Assist with presentations and/or recommendations of general transportation related items to the City staff or Administration. • Provide surveying, concepts, engineering, drafting, cost estimates and/or specifications necessary to bid and construct a project • Provide environmental reports for CEQA or NEPA clearance (HPSR, ASR, HRER) • Provide feasibility studies, cost estimates, cost/benefit analysis. • Conduct constructability review. • Research existing records of utility companies and agencies and coordinate the proposed improvements with existing field conditions. • Prepare all documentation required to obtain permits from any and all agencies having jurisdiction of the project. • Assist the Engineering Services Department and/or Planning Division with presentations and/or recommendations to the city staff, administration, Planning Commission and/or City Council. • Preparation of traffic impact studies for the Engineering and/or Planning Division of the City. • Review of Development proposals and the related traffic impact studies for the Engineering and/or Planning Division of the City. 2. Bidding Assistance • Provide technical support during bidding • Participation in pre-bid meetings • Prepare addenda • Conduct bid analysis and provide award recommendations 3. Engineering Support During Construction • Attend construction meetings • Respond to RFIs and technical questions • Prepare Architect’s Supplemental Instructions (ASIs) • Review change orders, invoices, and schedules • Prepare record drawings
