Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Carson (“City”) Community Services Department requests written responses to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for selection of On-Call Officiating Services Contractor(s) to direct and oversee the professional officiating of the Adult and Youth Sports programs. This will include assuming responsibility of officiating, fiscal management coordinated with the City Recreation and Human Services Division, and making all athletic official assignments set forth by playing schedules.The Contractor(s) will provide quality professional officiating services for any of the Adult and Youth Sports programs, which includes baseball, softball (fast and slow pitch), flag football, soccer, and basketball. Qualified contractor(s) will have sports officials who are California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) certified. All the duties and responsibilities set forth as part of this solicitation shall be performed by the Contractor(s) subject to the advice and direction of City Recreation and Human Services Division. Although Contractor(s) will have oversight of and responsibility for the officiating services, the City reserves the right to determine whether the Contractor’s performance of the criteria set forth in this solicitation meet City’s expectations. In addition, the Community Services Director reserves the right to establish and/or modify standards for the quality of any service or product provided under this solicitation.All services provided by the Contractor(s) shall be performed by providers who meet the qualifications, experience, and certification requirements for the position. The successful Contractor(s) shall also have the resources to provide cost effective and timely services to the City. The City will, based on qualifications presented in the response to this RFP, select the Contractor(s) best able to provide officiating services for the Adult and Youth Sports programs. The City has the right to fulfill the requirements of the RFP by choosing multiple vendors if one or more vendors are not able to provide officiating services for all the listed sports.
