The Port of Long Beach produces a variety of events, meetings, and various functions to promote the Port and its operations. Catering Services are needed to support these functions, that take place in a variety of locations for groups that range in size from 10 to 1,000 or more people. Therefore, the Port needs both vendors that can provide small-scale catering needs (e.g., box lunches for 10-100 people) and also vendors that can provide comprehensive catering services (i.e., handling catering services in all ranges including larger scale meal and drink services for 101-1000 or more people). Comprehensive catering services include, but are not limited to food and beverage service, drop‐off and pick up service, table service, buffet service, passing service, clean-up, and serveware and linens. Additionally, the selected vendor(s) will be expected to incorporate sustainable practices, that include but are not limited to food sourcing, implementing recycling/composting techniques, and utilizing reusable or compostable, disposable plates, flatware, and serveware.
