The purpose of this RFP is to solicit competitive proposals from qualified Contractors specializing in On Call Board-Up & Securing Services, in accordance with the specifications and general terms and conditions listed in this Request for Proposal. The City intends to award a contract for a three (3) years and two (2) months period, with the City reserving the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms. The first year of contract is estimated to start in May, 2020. The City reserves the right to award a contract to multiple firms or to a single firm, or to make no award, whichever is in the best interest of the City. Mandatory Qualification and Requirement - Registration with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is now mandatory as a condition for bidding, and on April 1, 2015 it will become mandatory for working on a new public works project. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations. Bid Proposal must contain proof of current fiscal year registration.
