Contractor must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience resolving youth/young adult grievances in a residential or correctional setting, AND two (2) years of experience working in the juvenile justice system. ii. Contractor must be available to provide services on-site and in-person at 375 Woodside Avenue, San Francisco CA, 94127. Video conferencing services will not be considered. iii. Contractor shall investigate and resolve grievances through mediation between the young person and Department staff. iv. Contractor shall investigate any acts, omissions, decisions, practices, policies, and procedures arising from a grievance, and where appropriate shall recommend procedural changes as part of the recommended resolution of a grievance. v. Contractor shall check each Juvenile Justice Center Unit Grievance Box in person every 2 to 3 business days, or any other schedule as prescribed by the Director of Facilities and Assistance Director of Juvenile Facilities and shall retrieve any documented grievances submitted by the young person. vi. Contractor shall conduct a preliminary investigation for every grievance and resolve grievances within three business days (Monday through Friday) of initial receipt of the grievance. vii. Contractor will communicate with the state Office of Youth and Community Restoration (OYCR) upon request by Department for cases in which receives a complaint from/on behalf of a youth housed in the Juvenile Justice Center.
