Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is interested in the development and validation of a shared community vision for Old Town which builds off of the City’s (pending) updated General Plan. At a broad level, the intent is for Old Town to be a community destination, with active retail, dining, and entertainment venues that contribute to the overall vitality and culture of the City, while respecting, complementing, and positively interacting with the surrounding residential neighborhoods. To that end, the City is interested in employing a range of engagement techniques to develop the shared vision and articulate the vision in a user-friendly (and potentially interactive) format, which may include but not necessarily be limited to, traditional workshops and studio events, pop-up stations at community gatherings, online and in-person surveys and data collection, and digital mediums such as virtual reality.
