The work to be provided by the consultant consists of performing on-call material testing services and special inspection services, but are not necessarily limited to the following tasks: • Perform materials testing and special inspection services for state and federally funded road projects, bridge repair and replacement projects. • Provide materials testing and special inspection services in accordance with applicable governing codes. • The Consultant shall have sufficient capacity to provide the requested services in a cost effective, timely and professional manner. • The Consultant shall have the ability to coordinate testing and inspection activities with contractors and project engineers. • The Consultant shall have knowledge of Caltrans requirements and be experience in California Testing Methods. • The Consultant shall have the capacity to conform to all the requirements of the SCPW QAP (Attachment A) for the Construction of Bridge and Road Improvement Projects. • The Consultant shall be able to provide evidence of the possession of current Caltrans Certifications for all tests outlined in the QAP.
