Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall provide prevention and early intervention (PEI) mental health services to adult or older adult caregivers serving an adult or older adult with a mental health condition. The Caregiver Support Services program is to provide prevention and early intervention services to support the wellness and mental health of adult or older adult caregivers who are caring for an adult or older adult parent, spouse, partner, family member who is experiencing a mental health condition. Contractor shall ensure that services are tailored to the service needs of multi-cultural communities. Contractor services shall use evidence-based curriculum and/or interventions to ensure caregiver education, knowledge and skill building, and program participant engagement. The Caregiver Support Services program consists of caregiver education, training and early intervention programming that is culturally and linguistically appropriate to prevent or decrease symptoms of anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues among adult caregivers of someone with a mental health condition. The Contractor of this service component shall utilize an evidence-based practice using a psycho-educational, skill-building curriculum that incorporates validated instruments to assess mental health issues to guide care. Contractor shall provide caregiver support services to reach appropriate ethnic and cultural groups reflective in the geographical regions served. This service component shall also include a Promotora or Community Health Worker model to support outreach, information dissemination, and prevention type services that function to recruit and retain caregiver participants into the evidence-based intervention service.
