Specifications include, but are not limited to: a.Contractor shall not provide actual legal representation to inmates. b.Contractor shall provide a legal research request form for each facility that meets the minimum specifications below: 1.The form for each facility shall be distinguishable by the facility's name; 2.The identifiable information of the requester at the specified facility shall be limited to only the absolute necessity to identify the individual requester for the return of the research product or incomplete form; 3.The five-numbered lines for up to five research items a requester is eligible to make; 4.Any specific information/instructions (i.e., turn-around time, maximum allowance, etc.) shall be listed on the request form. c.The legal assistance request forms will be processed and the requested information returned to the inmate within five (5) business days from the date the forms delivered to the Contractor. d.Contractor must be able to receive written legal assistance request forms submitted via fax machine or email on a daily basis. e.Contractor must be able to return hard copy written responses to legal assistance requests in an unsealed envelope with the inmates name and booking number printed on the front, to each of the seven detention facilities' locations via courier/carrier.
