A. Rental of one (1), four (4) cubic yard, dumpster with dual compartments for waste and recycling as described below. (1). The Contractor shall provide and equip each rental bin with wheels/casters, a metal lid, a bar, and a key or combination lock. (2). The Contractor shall provide to the DMV Project Manager two (2) keys or the combination for each bin. (3). The Contractor shall replace damaged bins, stolen and/or damaged locks, wheels/casters, metal lids, and bars at no additional cost to the DMV. B. Waste and recycle removal services as described below (1). The Contractor shall not provide organic recycling services. The DMV generates less than twenty (20) gallons per week of organic waste and is exempt from subscribing to and following the requirements of jurisdiction for organic waste collection service. Proof of exemption is available upon written request to the DMV Contract Coordinator. (2). The Contractor shall open and close any gates or enclosures using a gate code or a key. (3). The Contractor shall pull the bins to the truck before servicing and shall push the bins into the enclosure after completing services. (4). The Contractor shall empty all contents from inside of the waste/recycle bins. (5). The Contractor shall lock waste/recycle bins after emptying them. (6). The Contractor shall pick up and remove any waste/recycle spillage. (7). The Contractor shall secure the enclosed area where waste/recycle bins are stored after emptying. (8). If using a mixed bin, the Contractor shall be responsible for separating commingled contents and for properly disposing of and recycling contents as appropriate. The Contractor shall use a mixed waste processing facility that yields diversion results comparable to source separation. (9). The Contractor shall ensure the State of California’s minimum landfill diversion mandate is met.
