Develop and implement a participatory community-centered design process that results in the development of a new grant program and grant guidelines for Native American and Indigenous Artists. This work should be guided by CAC’s racial equity statement principles. Specific activities include: • Planning and facilitation of in-person kick-off meeting with CAC staff and Council members. • Create a workplan outlining all activities and timeline for completion • Re-engagement of 2019 convening participants. • Identification and engagement of new artists and tribal stakeholders beyond 2019 convening participants. • Design, coordination and implementation of listening sessions to hear and discuss community needs and possible opportunities. • Design, coordination and implementation of community survey to understand broader community issues, needs and opportunities. • Research potential other funding sources or partnerships to support this type of program. • Report findings and recommendations for design and implementation of Native American/Indigenous Artists grant program. • Draft grant program guidelines. • Participate in regular check ins with CAC staff liaison. • Participate in monthly calls with CAC project team. • Work with Council committee members to draft guidelines to be presented to full Council.
